Aquaculture is the fastest-growing industry in the world. Every country gives importance to food security, especially in the Middle East. In Gulf countries, there are difficulties in the cultivation of seafood due to its climate comprising of high temperatures during the day, which can be harmful to fish or shrimp, so it is important to study more about which cultivation species are suitable for that particular country. Different nations have different cuisines and this is also one of the key reasons that particular species get good prices, are easy to market, and yield profitability. Vannamei is a species that has a short-period of culture; within 4 months, it can reach upto 30 grams, so most farmers select Vannamei for cultivation. Profitability and ease of selling are the main keys to encouraging farmers to adopt Vannamei cultivation. An environmental impact study will also be important because sea water pollution is a main concern and fresh water is likely expensive in Gulf countries.
